Send Yours In

90 Years and Still Going Downhill

You are a part of the history of Showdown

Ninety years of this mountain, and most of it is in shoeboxes and phone rolls that nobody has ever put together. Send us what you have — a photograph, a film, a season pass, or just the memory written down. No account. No sign-in. It takes a couple of minutes.

September 30, 2026 — for the book To have a chance of being printed in the 90th-anniversary book, what you send has to reach us by then. After that the book has gone to the printer.
September 30, 2026 — the drawing Entries close at 11:59 pm and the draw runs straight away; winners are announced the next day on social media. Everyone who sends something in is entered — and if you have already sent something, you are already in. Three names drawn: a season pass, a Showup card, a $75 gift certificate. One entry each, however much you send. No purchase necessary. One entry per person. A signed media release is required. Official rules.
Who you are

Your name goes on the page beside whatever you send. Your email and phone number never do — they are how we reach you if you win the drawing, or if we have a question about a photograph, and they are never published anywhere.

Please tell us what to call you.
We need an email address that works.
You and the mountain

Answer what you feel like answering. One good sentence is worth more to us than a full page of blanks.

Photographs and documents

Photographs, scans, season passes, letters, clippings, patches, anything at all. Send the biggest copy you have — the book needs the full-size original, not a screenshot of it.

Two minutes or under, please. If you have something longer, send the best two minutes of it — or write to us and we will sort out the whole thing another way.

No purchase necessary. No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or to win, and a purchase will not improve your chances.

How to enter. Send photographs, film, audio, documents, or your own written memories of Showdown Montana through the form on this page. Everyone who submits is entered. If you sent something in before these rules were posted, you are already entered and need do nothing further.

One entry per person, however much you send. Sending more material does not improve your chances of winning — though it does help the archive, which is the point of the whole thing.

A signed media release is required. An entry is eligible only if we hold your signed Media Release Agreement — that is the box you check on this form. If you sent material to us some other way, we will ask you to sign one; an entry with no signed release on file by the entry deadline is not eligible.

Winners are announced the following day, Thursday, October 1, 2026, on Showdown Montana's social media. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The draw uses a published, repeatable method: the order is generated from a seed announced beforehand, so anyone can re-run it afterwards and check the result.
